ANTILLEAN SOAP COMPANY
Antillean Soap Co was established in 1978 and is located in the Industrial Park at Brievengat in Curacao. In those years the Government of the then Netherlands Antilles was promoting Industrial activity through a market protection policy. Within that policy, the company was granted a protection for the markets of Curacao, Aruba, and Bonaire.
To primarily serve the above-mentioned three markets, a factory was set up to manufacture products covering a very wide spectrum of cleaning products, from liquids to powders and bar soaps. Around the year 2000, market protection started to be phased out, forcing Antillean Soap Co to change policy and to start exporting to other Islands in the Caribbean. The operation in open markets meant many changes in the management of the company, including in the technical setup, product lines, and marketing thereof.
Their products are sold in various markets, including Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire, St. Maarten, Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Guyana, Jamaica, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Martinique, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Trinidad, Suriname, and the Netherlands.
In October 2021, ANSO was acquired by MetaCorp. As the newest member of the MetaCorp Family, a new phase of innovation and internal improvements had begun at Antillean Soap Company, in which their customers reap the benefits.

THE LOCAL MARKET
During its early years, a significant trust and loyalty was developed between the Islands of Curaçao, Aruba, and Bonaire with ANSO. This trust was very helpful during the transition years to open markets.
In an effort to expand its customer base, an Econo Line was developed, followed by an Industrial line, in addition to its traditional Top Line. As the latest addition to ANSO’s product offerings, an Automotive line has joined the ANSO product offerings.
Antillean Soap Co is well-represented in all supermarkets and smaller outlets in Curacao.
THE CARIBBEAN MARKET
In addition to Aruba, Bonaire and St. Maarten, the products are selectively exported to 12 other markets in the Caribbean from the Bahamas to Antigua and Barbados. Antillean Soap Co is proud to have well-established and reputable agents across the Caribbean to distribute its products on the various Islands. The export markets represent roughly 60% of the company’s sales volume.
Antillean Soap Company was established in Curacao. Initially backed up by protection polices from the Netherlands Antilles government, established itself as a domanant player in the markets of Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire.
These policies were phased out, and Antillean Soap Company went on a journey of expansion to currently serve over 17 international destinations.
Metacorp, an international holding company acquired Antillean Soap Company and began work on propelling the company forward towards an exciting future.
